This is #28! I actually finished the last three last night, but this is my favorite, so it's getting uploaded first...

Title inspired by my favorite Cocorosie song "Bear Hides and Buffalos." I was listening to them while painting this and I feel that it fits the concept.

Watercolor + gouache + bleach on silver gelatin print (film photography) on 14"x18" tea stained WC paper. *whew*

This is very eerie - the darkness, the face stretching up, and the bleach (?) bubbles conjure up a whole theme of drowning for me.

Drowning, and a kind of Golden Age horror film quality - a chilling combination.

Wow. This is a striking image. There's just enough to make you think you can see it but not quite. It seems dynamic and still at the same time. At first it felt still and tragic then more disturbing then possibly sensual. I can't makeup my mind. I suspect interpretations will vary.

I love this one too. There are a lot of feelings in it. And I love Cocorosie, it is a formidable source of inspiration.
I still really impressed by all your work, particularly when you use silver gelatin print. You give me envy to create again !
