Artist's Comments
Watercolor, gouache, and ink on a silver gelatin print on tea stained 6"x16" watercolor paper.
The technique: First, I had a shoot to get the perfect pose (thanks Brittany!) Then I tea stain the paper. Then I paint liquid photo emulsion onto the paper and print the image in the darkroom. After that, I scrape and scumble the emulsion to create texture (while it's still wet). I then stained half of the piece with diluted concentrated watercolor to get the aqua color. Then I painted the watercolor, then the gouache, and added the ink! It's a very involved process but I love it. - - - Thank you ^oilsoaked for the DD! There's nothing like waking up to something that gives me a huge smile and sets the pace for my day!  Also, thank you everyone for your comments and +favs! I'll do my best to thank you personally.  - - - I haven't released it yet, but this piece will be available as a print for $45 + $6 for s/h from my print shop early next week. I'll take preorders! You can think of anything you want, just make sure you still respect the theme. You can choose to illustrate dreams, nightmares or even both of them. Anything you want!
