Last night I participated in the College Juried Exhibition at The Art Place in Marietta, Georgia. I teach at TAC with their summer camp this summer as well, so I know the staff and am quite comfortable there. Anyway, I arrived just in time for the awards and I received the "Purchase Award." Basically, the MVAA (Mountain View Arts Alliance) decided to buy one of my pieces for their permanent collection and for display and promotional material.

I was so out of it last night, though. I barely heard my name being announced. But a check is nice! I've so far sold three prints of "Imminent Change" out of an edition of 15 and I donated one of them to a disability scholarship auction a month ago. 11 left!

Never be afraid to try something new. Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark.
And a large group of professionals built the Titanic.

No, it's not... I have 11 silver gelatin prints, straight from the darkroom. I'd sell those prints for $100 each, but I can arrange to have them printed the same way I have my paintings done and sell them for $60 each that way.
